Vegetables
Vegetables can be cooked or raw although if you prefer cooked vegetables, steaming them for a few minutes is the way to go. For salad dressings, try oil, herbs, and lemon juice.
Grains
The Herbal Detox Meal Plan requires whole or cracked grains, which means you should avoid flour-based foods. Basically, most grains are allowed except when you are allergic to a certain grain. The most recommended grains for the diet are millet, buckwheat, quinoa, brown rice, spelt, cornmeal, amaranth, rye, Red River cereal, quinoa, seven grain cereal, oats, wheat and kamut.
Legumes

Fruit
One rule for this kind of diet is this: Avoid the sweeter fruits. Tropical fruits like pineapple, bananas, and lemons should be avoided. Opt for domestic fruits like apples, peaches, plums, pears, and berries instead. Have one serving per day.
Meat
Organically produced chicken, fish, and turkey are recommended for the Herbal Detox Meal Plan. Organic means meat that came from certified organic farms. Commercial livestock are commonly fed antibiotics and growth hormones, which are believed to be harmful when passed to human beings. Avoid non-organic meats and buy only the safer and healthier alternative of purely organic meat. Consume moderate-sized proportions while on the diet.
Water
Water is an important part of the Herbal Detox program. Drink distilled, spring, or reserve osmosis water. You can also opt for herbal cleansing teas, just avoid tap water. Drink as much as possible without waiting until you are thirsty before having a drink or having too much. Have six to eight glasses of water and herbal teas daily. This will help remove body toxins.
