Food That You Can Eat on a Cleanse Diet

When you are on a cleanse diet, it is important that you have a whole lot of vegetables. No matter how you cook it, as long as you have vegetables, then go for it. There is no one yet who has gotten fat because they ate vegetables excessively. Of course, they contain carbohydrates. But what you don’t realize is that the vegetables have enough vitamins that will provide you with what your daily requirement without you knowing it. The butter, sauces and salt are what make you gain weight. Vegetables like carrots and beets are rich in natural sugars that will give you the kick you need to get going for work.

Fruits are also important in the diet. It is best to have at least one or two pieces a day. You don’t have to restrict yourself in the amount of fruit that you are going to take in a day. A single apple would have less than a hundred calories. That’s not going to make you gain excessive weight. Go and indulge in all the fresh fruit you want especially if you are working late nights. You can replace cookies and chips for fruits instead. You can have grapes, apples, bananas or kiwis for snacks. It is best to have fresh fruits. Canned ones can be enjoyed every once in a while.
Dried fruits are a very concentrated food source. And you can gain a lot of nutrients from these foods. Raisin is an example. However, you need to remember that these foods are rich in calories as well. So you don’t want to eat too much of them.
You have to learn the difference between loosely packed nutrients and densely packed nutrients. Fresh fruits have loosely packed nutrients and are high in water content. Dried fruit has little to no water content at all.

Grains and beans are a great way of filling you up. Forget about chips and crackers. Go for whole wheat, millet, barley or rice instead. You can have a helping of crackers once in a while but not too often. Crackers, cakes and other similar foods are not going to help you achieve a healthy bodyweight. Having them once a week is already too plenty. And you have to remember that what you eat will translate to how healthy your mind and body will is.

Go for chicken, fish and lean meat. Make sure that you are getting the best available meat in the shop. Surely it will cost you a lot more however; the money spent is worth it. Also go for fresh fish and keep away from farm bred ones.

Everyone loves desserts. Treat and snacks are not exempted. But make sure that you have this in moderation. Don’t eat the whole bag of candy. If you think that you won’t be able to control yourself, don’t eat alone. Have someone to share with. Or you can just buy a smaller package instead. Nobody said that you can never have treats ever again. Of course you can but only in moderation. And that is what makes it difficult.

The Cleanse Diet is Not a Set of Rules but a Way of Life

A lot of people give themselves one day in a week where they can “cheat”. This is the day when they allow themselves to indulge in all the food that they are supposed to eat in moderation. And this will not help you at all. The best thing to do is to simply choose to eat clean. Every meal will stand alone. If for example you overate lunch, then have a normal serving during dinner. Never try to make up for the overeating by eating less. This will just make you hungrier and cause you to eat more. Eat like the way you normally eat. If you overeat, then you have overeaten. Get over it. A little common sense will make you go a long way and give you better results.
